Supply & Demand Chain Executive, the only publication covering the entire global supply chain, selected Patricia J. Moser, Principal, i3 Advantage as a recipient of the 2022 Women in Supply Chain award.
The Women in Supply Chain award honours female supply chain leaders and executives whose accomplishments, mentorship and examples set a foundation for women in all levels of a company’s supply chain network.This year’s list includes individuals from software and service providers, consultancies and academia, trucking and transportation firms, professional development agencies, sourcing and procurement divisions, and more, all who have helped supply chain clients and the supply chain community at large prepare to meet many of today’s—and tomorrow’s—challenges.
Patricia has been a recipient of the Women in Supply Chain award several times before and she continues to be grateful for this recognition – to be amongst so many accomplished women in supply chain. She also recognizes the need for more women to choose supply chain as a career.
“A recent Gartner Survey on women in supply chain, found that although 41% of the supply chain workforce in 2021 was comprised of women, but, at the most senior roles, women only accounted for 15% of the total — a decline since 2020. This demonstrates how important it is to have senior level women role-models in supply chain. It is also a call-out to organizations who may think there aren’t enough accomplished women, to fill senior roles, to look again,” commented Patricia.
